What are you upto this weekend

Hey thought we could see what everyone does on a weekend.

This will be a different weekend for me, our son turns 30 today, oh my where did the time go!
anyhow we are heading down to their house as soon as hubby gets home from work, about a 2 1/2 hour drive. His wife has planned a surprise party for him tomorrow, he knows we are have a barbque and the we are coming and his inlaws, just a family party, boy if he dosnt know will be surprised as there are about 40 people coming.
Then home sunday morning for our small group pot luck and movie night as we say goodbye for the summer months. We are going to be watching fire proof, cant wait to see it again. Will be nice to watch it with others.
Then I most likely will be colaspings most likely.

Happy birthday to your son Debbie - and hope you have a great weekend celebrating - what a lotta meat to bbq :) Haven't seen FIREPROOF yet but have read about it-hope to get a chance to see it sometime.

I have enrolled for a card making class tomorrow - 10.30am to 4pm. I had enquired about making these particular cards a while back but all places were taken..got a call today to say someone had dropped out so that's me in.
We have just put the wheels in motion to see about putting our house on the market so got a bit of de-cluttering and tidying to do in a few corners before valuation on Tuesday.
Love the weekends - wish they could be longer though :)

Oh Debbie, i like this dicussion idea. I am glad you got a wonderful party to suprise your birthday boy with. I'm going to be 32 in August and my mother can't believe her youngest is that old now. I pray that the Lord gives you the strength in body to enjoy yourself without bad fibro flare after this weekend is through. Have lots of fun and let me know how it all went, OK. I would love to hear some of the details. i will be following this dicussion so if you write about it here i can come back and read your update.

As for me this weekend - I will most likely be in the garden weeding as it is very relaxing to me. I haven't been able to be out there in a very long time and i truely miss it so much. Getting my hands dirty, watering and just being around all the plants just makes me happy. Then i will be taking a nap maybe two LOL. I'm going to try take a walk over at the arbortum and see all the flowers in bloom and take along my camera which will more then likely be glued to my face. The Iris is in full bloom and it will be an amazing showing of color. If it continues to rain here as it has this week on and off, i might be indoors and catch up on some reading or watch a movie. I personally haven't seen Fireproof but i just got it from the library and will also be viewing it sunday evening. It's funny how you meantioned that movie, i will let you know how I like it.

My step dad has a speed boat and invites His side of the family out to the lake just a stone's throw away from my house. They are planning on going this weekend but rain is threating to happen and it's up in the air in if it will happen. I'm not really interested in going as i am not feeling well enough to be around too many people, it can overwhelm me and make my fibro worse.

I know it's not much of a weekend but I claim it as mine and I will love every moment whatever i end up doing.

WOW Debbie, I think you got in enuff for the both of us! lol I certainly do hope you were able to enjoy everything without being interrrupted by pain. I know what you mean by where did the time go, my oldest will be 31 in July!! I KNOW I was only a teenager when I had him, but still it makes me feel so much older, lol.
Our plans were to head down to TN this weekend, but Tim coming home sick Weds thwarted those plans. Instead we nursed each other thru various stages of the flu....what fun! He went in to work this morning but I dont see him lasting the day, but I do believe the worst is over!! YAY!!
Tell us all about the party. Esp the look on your son's face when he was surprised!! I do so enjoy those moments of utter shock on peoples faces ( good shock only!!)
