From THE TRAVELOR'S GIFT by Andy Andrews

I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive even those who do not ask for forgiveness.
Many are the times when I have seethed in anger at a word or deed thrown into my life by an unthinking or uncaring person. I have wasted valuable hours imagining revenge or confrontation... I will now and forever-more silently offer my forgiveness even to those who do not see that they need it. By the act of forgiving, I am no longer consumed by unproductive thoughts. I give up my bitterness. I am content in my soul and effective again with my fellowman.
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive those who criticize me unjustly.
Knowing that slavery in any form is wrong, I also know that the person who lives a life according to the opinion of others is a slave. I am not a slave. I have chosen my counsel... I now know that criticism is part of the price paid for leaping past mediocrity.
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive myself.
For many years, my greatest enemy has been myself. Every mistake, every miscalculation, every stumble I made has been replayed again and again in my mind. Every broken promise, every day wasted, every goal not reached has compounded the disgust I feel for the lack of achievement in my life...
I realize today that it is impossible to fight an enemy living in my head. By forgiving myself, I erase the doubts, fears, and frustration that have kept my past in the present. From this day forward, my history will cease to control my destiny. I have forgiven myself. My life has just begun.

Wonderful Idea for Christmas

The organic teas that are in the LW Book store come in packages of 6 boxes. Great to order a couple and use for Christmas gifts. I am planning on making some baskets as gifts and I thought organic teas would be a good way to share something healthy. I will take a picture when I have them finished.

The chill has hit the air and it is time to get out those hot drinks. Here are a couple of recipes for homemade mixes. They are great to have around for holiday guests or they make great gifts as well if dressed up in a pretty jar. Hope y… Continue

Christmas is Coming

Every year at this time we start thinking about Christmas. I wanted to share this video because it is such a great statement about what Christmas is all about. I think I have found a Christian group that I have fallen in love with. I will share more from the GO FISH GUYS as we approach the holidays. I hope you like their songs as much as I do

Hey Sweetie,
Thanks so much for stopping by my page. And thank you for sending the books too! I'm so sorry that I haven't sent yours yet. Things have been a little hard here so I haven't been out of the house very much. I do hope to get them sent off on Friday this week.

Hugs,
Barb

Miriam - nipping in here to say 'Hi' ......was SO very good to hear you folks....a little confusing for me but I guess I could identify one or two voices today if I had the chance.
Do hope your day has been good - and restful - and painfree.
I've just been chatting to my mum - I plan to go shopping with her and my sister tomorrow - I'm not much into shopping so I've suggested we could do a coffee shop crawl - my idea of a great day :)
You commented on my pics....I just use google images or photobucket - mostly google though and just enter a key word to search - and I do love to leave a picture. Have fun checking them out.
Love to you and blessings this weekend Miriam.... Linda x

Hi Miriam,
I just wanted to leave a short note to say I am thinking of you this evening and then I saw the sniffing dogs that Linda posted below and nearly fell off my chair laughing! Oh My! I so enjoy chatting with you and hope we can talk about some books soon. The music videos you have posted are a blessing. Thanks for taking the time to share them.
Love and hugs,
Patti

Oh Miriam - I have just read your prayer request - I am sure you must be in SO MUCH pain :( and I am sorry to hear that.
I'm praying for you tomorrow, that you will be able to travel to your appointment with ease and that the injection will bring you much relief from your pain and discomfort. Thinking of you my friend. Linda x

Hi Miriam,
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and prayers about my diffiult time. It really encouraged me to hear from you and others here. I am feeling better and clearer every day so for that I am so thankful. My doctor is out of the country at a Sjogren's research symposium and I'm still waiting for some further instructions, hoping there will be another medication to try. Unfortunately, I will have to miss COD again this week due to another appointment. Just how it goes, but I'm following along with the reading. Have a blessed week and thankyou again for your special friendship!
Jan Lyn
