About You:
I'm a born again christian, and I love God with all my heart, soul and mind. I work at being the person He wants me to be, but I feel I fall so short a lot. I'm thankful He has lots of grace. I'm a wife (married again). Mother of 3 and have 2 stepkids and 2 grandkids. I like to read, my Bible comes first! I read lots of books and magazines, I like to do crotching, knitting, needlepoint when I can find the time. I like to walk when I can. I have a small dog which is a real joy. She follows me EVERYWHERE, and makes us all laugh a lot. I love spending time with my family, and look forward to family get togethers. I'm very friendly and outgoing. I love to laugh and joke around and tease those I'm close to. My favorite movies are comedy, but also like drama, action, a little suspense. We seldom watch TV, but I do like Monk. I'm dealing with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Multiple Chemical Sensivities, restless leg, adrenal insuffiecienties, hypothyrodism, sleep apnea, diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety disorder, - that's all I can remember right now (but that's enough).
And lastly, I absolutley love hummingirds!!!

Good Morning God,
You are ushering in another day untouched and freshly new,
so here I come to ask youGod if You'll renew me too?
Forgive the many errors, that I made yesterday, and let me try
again dear God, to walk closer in Thy Way.
But Father, I am well aware I can't make it on my own. So
take my hand and hold it tight for I can't walk alone.

What chronic condition(s) are you diagnosed with?

Health Issues

There’s a saying that goes something like. . . .I wish God didn’t have so much faith in me. Meaning that He will give us the strength the weather everything that comes our way. I’m not sure I’m up to, or handling everything that’s coming my way very well.

I had a visit with my Fibromyalgia Dr. about a month ago, and at that time she told me my blood pressure was running too high at times, and I needed to monitor it. I have been, and it has been running very high.

The Dam is Giving Out

A couple people have asked how we’re doing, so I’ll give an update. It’s been rather bleak, and we’re putting in such long hours, I’m truly having trouble keeping track of what day it is.

Our bookkeeper had been here the last month, with her pay being her health insurance. Our situation has gotten so slim, we didn’t have the money to pay the bill for the insurance this month, so the 31st of July was her last day. I was so sick to my stomach all day that day, I was physically ill. So now, it’s j… Continue

Hanging on by a thread

So many of you have stopped by to leave messages for me. I can’t tell you what an encouragement your messages are. Thank you so much for your prayers. I know they are what’s keeping me going – us going. We are both SO tired, and we have had some very discouraging days. I’ve had some good cries lately.

We’ve made more changes, and tightened our belts again. Our daughter, Leatha, that was working for us is no longer working for us. It broke my heart to have her leave. We were keeping her working,… Continue

Business is still going

I’m sorry I’ve been quiet for so long. I’m working in our office since we let our two part time office help go, and it’s exhausting to say the least. I enjoy it, but I don’t have any energy for much else at the end of the day.

Well, we thought we were closing our doors on the 7th of June, but God had other plans. I had been racking my brain trying to think of ways to book some jobs, and in desperation grabbed the estimates for the last 30 days and started calling them to ask if they were ready… Continue

Thanks for dropping by my page and leaving such a cutiepie. It makes me smile.
I have been thinking about you so much and praying that the Lord will touch your husband in a way such that he begins to understand the burden and toil that he has placed upon you. I continue to pray for your healing and perserverance.

I hope your day was wonderful in every way. But, more so I pray you year will be a blessing to you in everything you encounter. I am so very glad we met and have been able to grow this past year together. You are a blessing in your own special way!

I hope that you don't mind me placing your prayer request in our prayer group here at LW. It's wonderful to have so many righteous, kind Christians hold your needs up high.

James 5:16
So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.17

I am sorry to hear about your high blood pressure. I had a "hypertensive attack" about 3 months ago with full out nausea, sweating, chest, neck and back pain and shortness of breath. I had stomach cramps so bad that combined with my usual high pain level put me right over the edge.

At first they thought it was "anxiety attack", but I suffered panic attacks years ago and they were nothing like it. In the end, they determined that my blood pressure was sky high. By the way, there is a way that pain can actually "take over" your sympathetic nervous system. This results in a sudden, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure and often nausea and shortness of breath. I have been told that they believe that was what happened, so now I am on blood pressure meds. I have only been on them about 4 weeks, but I can see SUCH a difference. The cold sweats/nausea combinations that haunted me for over a year is fixed.(But how much damage did I do during that time, given it was happening more than a few times daily)?
I hope that your doctors can get that blood pressure under control. But sweetie, all the meds in the world will not help your blood pressure if you are living under extreme stress for extended periods of time. (Sound familiar?)

Isn't it time that you and your husband go to the Lord and ask Him if it is His will for you to continue? Remind your husband that his vow of love and marriage means that he should be treating you with the consideration and love as Jesus had for His church. It is likely that he hasn't slowed down and thought quietly about these issues and listened quietly for the will of God.
Don't worry about writing too much right now. Just a quick line or two once in awhile so that I know how you are doing. I think of you often during the day because I feel strongly pulled to attempt to help you, given the extensive small business experiences I have gained. Please use me as a resource if you wish.
Does your municipality support a 'small business education center, or something like it? In Ontario, we can access such centers and get one-on-one, hand holding support from experienced and trained staff. Perhaps an objective opinion from someone like that would be beneficial, especially for your husband, who, I fear, is being led more by his fear of failure than by good business sense. I will pray that our Father will show you both the way. I hope the path includes business success, but you can be assured our Daddy is teaching you both valuable experiences from this situation.
Hang in there!

Nancy, I just read your comment that you had managed to find some time to look after yourself yesterday, and I was so happy for you! That's a start; you'll need to do a bit more of that over the next week or so. I think that you should gather your energy the best that you can, and ready yourself for a frank, serious, talk with your husband. I am sure that he feels as overwhelmed as you do, and the status quo has to change, for both of your sakes.
Perhaps you can re-group, and as a team, figure out where to go from here. But whatever you do, remember to ensure that your husband regards the health of both of you is more important than business success. As you are called to submit to your husband, he too is required to treat you with the same love and care as Jesus for his church. There is a great reason, I believe, for this instruction in the bible. Our Father knew that everything else could fail; business, wealth, health, but as long as you have your spouse with you, the only other thing that you need to remain happy and whole is our Father himself.

Hang in there sweetie! If I can provide you with any help or advice, please drop me a email! We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers....

YSIC,
Cali
