I found these bible verse that i wanted your spirit to be comforted by -

For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to (your) his cry for help. Psalm 22:24

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

YOU ARE LOVED!! Hand in there, God will see you through this.

THought i would quickly let you know on this Thanksgiving morning that today you are on my list of things that i'm so grateful to God for. Your friendship/sisterhood is precious to me.

I saw your prayer request in your status
and just know that you are in my heart's prayers and thoughts today.
I know how difficult it is in times when I couldn't be on the computer or type because of the pain in my hands that left them unable to do pretty much anything around the house.

You are covered in prayer,
Love you big -
Joy

Cali!

Thank you for your note on my Blog. Please I so would love for you to start the discussion you mentioned. I think it would be a great one and from there it will be easier for others to enter in - on a blog others only will see comments if they write on it - you can't reply to others comments (hence me writing you here about it) - does that make sense? So....STOP JUST SITTING THERE THINKING ABOUT STARTING A DISCUSSION AND JUST DO IT! ~giggle~ =)

Your comment on the blog was really thoughtful and deep. Looking forward to further discussion about it!

With Christ's Grace!
Kimberly

P,S, From what you described - you have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with our Lord, Jesus Christ. But, it isn't unusual for us to question that relationship during the times where He seemingly isn't TALKING. He IS though, Cali. And He is talking to you. Sometimes in the silences He is speaking the loudest. Ohhh ~ I have so much I want to say about this, PLEASE would you start the discussion and lets talk about it there where others can see it and join in.

Hi Cali - computers and internet are SO helpful - when they work! Sorry you are having such problems with yours as I do know they bring your company and fellowship to you. I'm hoping and praying your computer probs are on the way to being resolved!

But....I'm somewhat confused here.....!
On your message to me you signed it 'LORI'...?? Is your name Lori? Is Cali a petname / nickname??
Am I being silly / dozy??
Thinking of you anyhow.....Linda x

Have just seen your little status comment Cali - and thank YOU so much for having us all in your prayers. We really haven't seen so much of you around here recently - I kinda see so little of everyone, being as I am 6-7 hours behind all of you - folks here are coming alive when I've just gone to bed! I'm just now realising that Canada and US have different Thanksgiving dates - I had assumed they were the same. Anyhow, do hope you felt well enough to enjoy yourself some....do you have family get-togethers / celebrations etc?

Thinking of you Cali and hoping today is a good day for you in the Lord.
Love, Linda

Helloooo...? Hello? Anyone out there?

While my chronic illness and disability have been, strangely, good for me, and my soul, it has been horrible for maintaining friendships. Isolation seems to be a common complaint for people suffering from these challenges. When isolation and loneliness hang around for too long, though, depression is the natural outcome.

That's why it is so healing and wonderful to be a friend among many friends here at LW. But while my cyber friends are absolutely loved the same way as my '3d' friends, sometime… Continue

Lesson from my prodigal cat.....

It seems to me, every now and again, that God allows me glimpses into His soul, revealing images that drive home His messages of extravagant love for me.

Most recently, I think that He knew that I really, really needed a laugh. Floundering under the weight of tribulations, I truly believe that He heard my cry and wanted to make me grin. How? By providing me with my own version of "the Prodigal son"; "The Prodigal Cat."

I have never been much of a cat person. I had one growing up, "Calico," who… Continue

does anyone have a link?

Hi everyone

I was surfing the net tonight and came across a site with Jesuit ministry. (They have daily devotions etc).

Someone had posed the question, "What is the difference between Catholic and Protestant bibles?" I didn't know there was any difference. Apparently the Catholic bible has 7 more books than the protestant bible, with enhanced sections for the Book of Esther.

Does anyone have a link to the text of these books? I understand that they are called the 'deuterocanonical' boo… Continue

Chronically NOT My(OLD)self - Devotional thoughts by Kimberly Walker

LEARNING TO ABIDE IN HIM

John 15:4-5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart [...]

DISTRACTED by Chronic Pain

1 Corinthians 1 Paul refers to Jesus Christ nine times in the first nine verses. We are correctly focused when we can say from the depths of our being, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21, ESV), and that our determined purpose in life is “that I may [...]
