Started a jorney this morning July 1/09, 40 days to the heart of God in prayer. Oh my how I was blessed this morning day 1, as I learnt about God hearing and answering of our prayers when we come to Him.

This is so neat. I had never heard this before. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.'

Praying God’s heart brings your heart
an even deeper way of seeing and knowing
the depth of His love for you.
I found this card in Dayspring and my heart leaped with joy over how God shows us His heart for others and all i saw in this card was YOU.
The words reminded me of how you seek Him with all Your heart. God showed me that He notices you knocking on His door. I pray that God truly brings you deeper into the knowledge of His revelations of love that you seek, i pray that the Holy spirit's presence and friendship falls upon you and brings you closer to His heart.
I pray also for your health as God touches you with His healing hand and you will be able to feel His Holy embrace.

I was happy to read your praise report that your mom is able to go home from the hospital! Also read your prayer request about transportation needs. You are not being selfish so don't worry about that. It is a privilege to pray for you. I know the Lord is with you and will help you with everything you need and it is wonderful to be part of the process through prayer.

Debbie - I AM SO SORRY....you have faithfully updated the schedule on 'Reading God's Word' and I have not supported you. I had promised to try again to commit to the program and just haven't stuck with it.
Sincere apologies for the total lack of support I have shown you, committing to reading with you and then only getting a few steps from the starting blocks. UGH....
When do you start Jeremiah? Can I ask you to maybe slot in the dates beside the week number?? I know it looks like I'm preparing to fall behind again - just means if I do then I will know where I should be.
I do like your new picture logo.....and it is so good to see you around again.

Thanks for the update on your mom. I'm so glad she is making progress and will be able to leave the hospital in a couple of weeks. It sounds like she has some work to do to get walking and gain her strength back so I will keep praying for her.
