“What we are asked to do is to love; and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbor worthy if anything can. ~ thomas merton

This is the Welcome Table of our Redeemer,
and you are invited
Make no excuses, saying you cannot attend;
simply come, for around this table you will find your family.
Come not because you have to,
but because you need to.
Come not to prove you are saved,
but to seek the courage to follow wherever Christ leads.
Come not to speak but to listen,
not to hear what’s expected, but to be open to the ways the Spirit moves among you.
So be joyful, not somber, for this is the feast of the reign of God,
where the broken are molded into a Beloved Community,
and where the celebration over evil’s defeat has already begun.

For thou art making me, I think thee Sire.
What thou hast done and doest thou knowest well;
And I will help thee, gently in thy fire
I will lie burning; on they potter's wheel
I will whirl patient, though my brain should reel;
Thy grace shall be enough my grief to quell,
And growing strength perfect through weakness dire.

About You:
September 10, 2009 I feel like I am in TRANSITION right now and I am not exactly sure what that means, but I am fervently certain that my Father KNOWS what the plan is. And I know He is fulfilling HIS desires of my heart.

I'm a deep and passionate thinker who is most content when I am experiencing sincere relationships within a community system.

My most favorite times are when I am sitting quiet with the Lord on my back porch, reading a good book, and when sharing good food and drink with friends - even cooking good food FOR friends and having spirited conversation about seeking a deeper walk with God with.

I love being a mom and a grandma and love having family all together at my house for the holidays. I am looking forward to more of that as our family grows.

My best friend is Donald. Donald is my husband and he honestly is the most generously compassionate person I have ever known. He teaches me how to love others by the way he loves me. I am truly blessed among women. Donald is finishing his BA degree and then he and me will be off to Asbury Theological Seminary. I love that we get to share LIFE together!

JUST TWO WORDS

What a burden I thought I was to carry -
a crucifix, as did He.
But instead

After a night of prayer,
He
delighted my heart

Just these two words He spoke,
"Enjoy Me."

Once,
my Lord whispered in my ear.
"I know a song..."

He playfully inquired
"Would you like to hear it?"

And while I cried
He gently sang,
"Enjoy Me."

MY FAVORITE QUOTE FOR THE MOMENT:
"It is Jesus who heals, not I; Jesus who speaks word of truth, not I; Jesus who is Lord, not I."

BIBLE VERSE I'M MEDITATING ON:
I am slowly reading through the PROVERBS. One a day. As well I am reading PSALM 119. Within them are my FAVORITE SCRIPTURES for today. I meditating on whatever verse is speaking to me in that day.

Aaaaagh my dear friend!!! WHAT have you been up to?? I am so very sorry you are having such pain in your foot right now. You know, with exercising, walking, packing up your house and EVERYTHING that you have going on, could it be that you've been overdoing it? I really do pray for you, trusting that God will touch you with His healing power and you will be back to strength again soon. Love you and praying with you. Linda x

Hey, hey, hey....I am so glad you are feeling better - and you are right - we do feel so much better when we are doing something - have proven that we CAN do it - even to ourselves. I am delighted for you but......I never knew you broke your foot....hey, that was quite some fall you took! Really do hope this exercising helps strengthen the mended bones and, how wonderful that your circumstances now allow you and Donald to do this together. I'm glad you liked your little kitty-cat picture......reminded me of you....all cute and cuddly - but really going for the training! Keep up the good work :)
I had a nice long walk in the autumn sunshine today and feel great to have achieved a little exercise of my own, and I'm hoping to build on this too.
Hope your weekend was good. Love to you my friend x

Hey Kimberly,

Just stopping by to say a quick hello. I hope you are as well as possible and having a good week. It's one of those nights, that I've come here after a long day, with few words to just soak in the testimonies here of God's love that abound. Feels so good at the end of the day and with a ~~finally~~ quiet house. Shhhh.......I can barely move or SOMEONE will awake here. :)

Hoping you are blessed with deep sleep and sweet dreams.
Love and Peace to your heart,
Jan Lyn

Hi Kimberly,

Well, I finally made it to the chat and no one there..ha ha Thanks for your welcome and all that you do. This looks like a nice site. God is my focus also. I ask Him daily what can I do for you Lord. Then I wait and as I continue on with my day and look back I noticed he indeed answered me for that day.
Hope to chat with you all soon Eileen (lene)

LEARNING TO ABIDE IN HIM

John 15:4-5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart [...]

DISTRACTED by Chronic Pain

1 Corinthians 1 Paul refers to Jesus Christ nine times in the first nine verses. We are correctly focused when we can say from the depths of our being, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21, ESV), and that our determined purpose in life is “that I may [...]
